2019 Chinese New Year Celebration

Hi everyone!

We hope your 2019 is going well so far! The Year of the Pig is just around the corner, and Hand in Hand and FCC Atlanta will be joining to celebrate Chinese New Year on Saturday, February 9th, from 4:00-7:00pm at Northview High School (10625 Parsons Rd, Johns Creek, GA 30097). There will be Chinese music and dance performances, lion dancers, taekwondo, and other exciting acts at the event, accompanied by an authentic Chinese dinner provided by Main Moon. This event will cost $10 for adults and $7 for kids (12 and under).

Although the main portion of our dinner will be catered from Main Moon, we will also be hosting a potluck and welcoming everyone to bring their own dish to enjoy with friends and family. The additional dish is completely optional, but we encourage everyone to bring something to share if you can! If you do bring a dish, please include the name of the dish along with any possible allergens on an index card to be presented alongside your dish.

Please RSVP by Wednesday, February 6th and pay online via PayPal (link here). We prefer online payments, but payments at the door will still be accepted for the higher price of $15 for adults and $10 for kids (12 and under). If you prefer to pay by check, please make your check out to Hand in Hand Chinese and mail it to 8820 Muirfield Court, Duluth, GA 30097. Family photos will be included with the ticket price, so feel free to wear something festive or a traditional Chinese outfit!

We sincerely hope you will consider joining us in our Chinese New Year celebration as we embark into the New Year. This will be a great opportunity for parents and children alike to meet other families in the Atlanta area with Chinese-adopted children, and to spend quality time with big sisters and brothers from Hand in Hand. If you have any questions or concerns about the event, always feel free to email us! We hope to see you all there! 🙂
