Summer Culture Camp
It’s the time of year again for Hand in Hand’s annual Chinese Culture Camp! This year’s theme is Dynasty Travelers: Racing through Time. Each day will be spent learning about the important facts of China’s many dynasties, from the Qin dynasty, the official start of China, to the Qing dynasty, China’s last dynasty before present day.

This is a fun get together on the last day of camp for everyone! Families will have a chance to meet all the camp counselors and see what their children have learned all week. We will celebrate the last day of camp with a dance performance by the kids, food, and lots of fun and games! You won’t want to miss this exciting day!

Activities at camp aim not only to teach campers about an aspect of the Chinese culture, but also to get campers excited about Chinese culture. Throughout the week, campers will be split into teams with other campers in their age group and 4-5 teenage camp counselors who will be with them the whole week. Camp activities will involve both individual activities as well as team-based activities to foster friendships among campers and counselors.

Cost: $95 per child
Includes camp t-shirt, camp tote bag, snacks, and more! Additional t-shirts are $10 each.

Summer Culture Camp 2011
Join us this year as we host our very own “Chinese Olympics” themed summer camp. We will be exploring Beijing, the home of the 2008 Olympics, while we hurdle and jump our way to gold medals. We start off with the Opening Ceremony on the first day of camp and end with the Closing Ceremony at Jones Bridge Park with a family picnic. Each day of camp will focus on one of the five different mascots of the Beijing Olympics. Over the week we will make crafts, learn Chinese, play games, and dance. We will be able to show off all that we learned over the week including dance performances at the family picnic during our Closing Ceremony.

Summer Culture Camp 2010
Join us for another exciting summer culture camp! The theme for this year is “Dragon Detectives.” We will be solving a mystery while learning about the Chinese culture and visiting different Chinese historical sites such as the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden Palace, Tiananmen Square, the Bird’s Nest and much more! New for this year, at the end of the week, we will have a family picnic to show off everything we’ve learned at camp!

Summer Culture Camp 2009
Take an imaginary trip to China with the Hand in Hand Summer Culture Camp! Join us as we “travel” around China with our “passports” and explore the local cultures through crafts, games, music and dance. Throughout the week, we will learn about the Terracotta Warriors of Xian, enjoy the beautiful scenery in Guilian, have Dim Sum in Guangdong, and much more!
