Big Sisters & Brothers Program

Hand in Hand’s Big Sisters and Brothers Program connects children adopted from China with Chinese-American teens. It’s a great way to meet some Chinese-American families in the Johns Creek/Alpharetta area and learn about the Chinese culture! We hold events as much as possible for kids to hang out with their big sisters or brothers. Some of our exciting events in the past have included Chinese New Year celebrations, pajama parties, Mid-autumn festivals, Christmas parties, and picnics. All the kids and big sisters have so much fun at the events, so come and join the fun!

About the Program

  • Your child does not have to be a student of Hand in Hand to participate in Big Sister activities. We welcome everyone!
  • Each child will be assigned one or a few big sisters or big brothers.
  • Most of these events will take place on Saturday afternoons and evenings besides the camps.
  • Most of the events will be low cost, but the events occasionally may require a small fee to cover rental costs of the location, supplies, or food.
