2018 Chinese New Year Celebration

Hi everyone!

We hope you’re all having a warm and great 2018 so far! The Year of the Dog is around the corner, and for the fourth year, Hand in Hand and FCC Atlanta will be celebrating Chinese New Year together on Saturday, February 10th, from 4:00-7:00pm at Northview High School (10625 Parsons Rd, Johns Creek, GA 30097). This event will include Chinese music and dance performances, a gift raffle, lion dancers, and authentic Chinese dinner provided by Main Moon. The cost of this event will be $10 for adults and $7 for kids (12 and under).

This year we’ve decided to move our venue to Northview High School in order to make it more affordable and accessible for families, but don’t worry — the event will still include all the performances our families have grown to love! Also, the main portion of our dinner will be catered by Main Moon, but we will also be hosting a potluck! While the additional dish is optional, we encourage everyone to bring a dish of their own to share with family and friends as we embark into the New Year. Please include the name of the dish along with any possible allergens in it on an index card to be presented alongside your dish.

Please RSVP by Wednesday, 2/7, and pay online via PayPal. While we prefer online payments, payments at the door will still be accepted for a higher price of $15 for adults and $10 for kids (12 and under). If you prefer to pay by check, please make it payable to Hand in Hand Chinese and send it to 12450 Magnolia Circle, Alpharetta, GA 30097. Also, this year, free family photos will be included with the ticket price, so feel free to wear a traditional Chinese outfit!

We are excited to welcome the Year of the Dog and sincerely hope you consider joining us for our Chinese New Year celebration. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email us! This is a fun and exciting opportunity to meet other families in Atlanta with Chinese-adopted children and as always, hang out with big sisters and brothers. We hope to see you there!
